Cancellation Policy: What You Need to Know
1. Cancel with Ease – One Week Notice
If your plans change, no worries! Cancellations made at least one week in advance are fully refundable—no questions asked.
2. Last-Minute Cancellations – Non-Refundable
If you need to cancel within a week of your scheduled tour, the reservation becomes non-refundable unless the cancellation is initiated by Palapa Tours due to unforeseen circumstances (excluding weather).
3. Same-Day Weather Cancellations
Ottawa’s weather can be unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered. If Palapa Tours determines that same-day weather conditions make your tour unsafe, you will have the option to:
✅ Reschedule for another date
✅ Receive a credit for future use
Please note: Weather-related cancellations are determined solely by Palapa Tours to ensure the safety of our guests and crew.
Want Extra Flexibility? Consider Trip Protection!
For added peace of mind, we offer Trip Protection at the time of booking. This ensures that you can:
✔ Cancel or reschedule for any reason up to 48 hours before your tour
✔ Receive full reimbursement (minus the cost of Trip Protection & processing fees) if the tour is canceled due to weather
✔ Enjoy maximum flexibility without worrying about last-minute changes

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, certain behaviors will result in a canceled booking with no refund or credit:
🚫 Arriving under the influence of drugs or alcohol
🚫 Tardiness beyond the boarding time
🚫 Disruptive behavior towards our captain, crew, or fellow passengers
🚫 Failure to show up for your scheduled tour
🚫 Forgetting your ID (for tours that require proof of age)
