It is a pleasure to introduce you to the a field trip experience on the water in the National Capital Region. Imagine, taking your kids on an educational tour up and down the Ottawa River on a Hawaiian style Palapa Boat Tour. Explore Ottawa in a whole new way whilst visiting some historic landmarks. From Parliament and the Supreme Court of Canada to the Ottawa Locks and The Rideau Falls. This is an adventure you and the kids will never forget. Palapa.Tours  is one of the most experiential ways to get out on the water and learn some history! Just head to one of our embarkment sites, climb aboard and become Palapa Ohana!

Join Us Anytime
If a Field Trip is not in the cards no worries! Keep us in mind for your Staff party instead and make some really cool memories. Or join us anytime during one of our  Specialty Theme Nights or simply getaway with close friends and family. We got you covered all summer long. 🙂

2 PACKAGE OPTIONS: (includes drink and snack)

50 Minute Tours ($300/per boat) – Quick and sweet. Our excursion takes you to the main areas around Parliament and to The Rideau Falls. The captain will safely navigate the waterways while explaining the historic significance of all that is to bee seen. This is the optimal tour for younger guests.

90 Minute Tours ($400/per boat) – Same as above, just a little longer. We stretch out the tour to include the scenic Chaudière Falls where the Inter-provincial Zip Line is located and we sail back and all the way up to the Rockliff Marina, passing the Prime Ministers House and the scenic houses along Jacques- Cartier Road in Gatineau.

OTHER NEEDS – We have some corporate rates available if there is a longer outing that is required. Please visit us here.

MULTIPLE GROUPS

Make a day of it – Are you looking for multiple groups to come join us? There are several things to do in the vicinity while waiting for the Palapas. Jacques- Cartier Park offers a beautiful spot for a picnic. Otherwise, there are several places of interest along the waterfront. From the Children’s Museum and the Museum of History to walking paths along the ottawa river there is lots to do and explore.

Custom Packages – We can optimize your day according to group size and needs. Simply put, we can reserve the Palapa’s for a set period of time and rotates groups-continually for 20-30 minutes at a time.

* Our Palapa’s are equipped with Life Jackets. However, it is highly recommended that students bring their own vests if they have them. All guests under the age of 12 must wear a personal flotation device.

3 PACKAGE OPTIONS:

BASIC OUTING – no need to chat with us. Simply go online and find a date and time that works for you. You can reserve individual seats on any one of our boat tours (great as a gift or small group outing). Of course, when booking individual tickets, you may be joined by other guests. Alternatively, you may choose to charter the whole boat. Each Palapa Boat Tour can accommodate up to 12 passengers. The charter price is the equivalent of purchasing ten tickets. However, with a charter, you choose your music, and the route you want to take. There are no blackout dates for these bookings and the prices vary depending on the day you book. All tours last 90 minutes.

Book two cruises back to back and we add 30 minutes at no extra cost. Bigger team? Book both boats side by side: they leave at the same time and take up to 24 guests.

DRINK & FOOD OPTIONS

When it comes to food and drink you have a few choices.

FOOD: Bring your own or ask our sales reps for a recommendation. Whether you are looking for a charcuterie board, cheese platter or simple finger foods, Ottawa has a wide variety of choices to tantalize your tastebuds. You can arrange to pick up your order or have it delivered at your specified date and time. We are flexible.

DRINKS: Palapa tours can offer specialized bottle service if there is something specific you would like to offer. As for the regular drinks, you have a few option for your guests.

1. Cash Bar: This is a pay as you go option. You provide the tour, they are responsible for their drinks.
2. Drink Tickets: You can offer your guests a specific amount of drinks and anything more is on them. We will include the tickets in your invoice.
3. Open Bar: All drinks on you. We will tabulate the bill and you can pay at the end of the tour.
